Quick summer styles to make you feel like your favourite star

Charles Worthington Master Stylist Nick Willis shows us how to rock it like a pop star with these three superstar looks. You can give these three simple styles a try at home or pop into our salon and ask your stylist for a 15 minute Dry Style. Whether you’re heading to a festival this summer or attending a wedding, one of these looks will bring out your inner pop diva!

LOOK 1: Madonna Waves

Difficulty level: Intermediate

What you will need:
  • Crimpers (If you don’t have crimpers you can try the look at home with curling tongs)
  • Hair Spray
  • Serum (add this before for a radiant shine)
How to get the look:
  1. Create a middle parting
  2. Section your hair into quarters
  3. Starting from the back crimp from mid length to tip, creating a zig zag beach wave effect of varying sizes
  4. Leave roots sleek and smooth
  5. Finish by using hairdryer and brush to smooth out any frizz and then set your hair with a healthy dose of hairspray
Our Top Tips:
  1. Try pre-setting the hair with L’Oreal Professionnel Tecni Art PLI by blow drying into dry hair. This will give your hair more guts and volume
  2. Use Kérastase ELIXIR OIL for a smooth finish and shine

LOOK 2: Rita Ora Plaits

Difficulty level: Beginner to intermediate

What you will need:
  • Rubber Bands
  • Hair Spray
How to get the look:
  1. From the front, create a French Plait along the hair line ending behind the ear
  2. Grab your remaining hair and tie with rubber bands, then connect your hairline plait into the rest of your hair and continue your braid to tip
  3. Repeat on opposite side
  4. Set with hairspray
Our Top Tips:
  1. Tease out your plait to create more volume and texture in the braid
  2. Finish with Kérastase VIP Volume Powder to thicken and define the plait

LOOK 3: Lady Gaga Hair Up

Difficulty level: Intermediate to advance

What you will need:
  • Grips
  • Hair Spray
  • Brush
  • Tail Comb
How to get the look:
  1. Sweep your hair tightly back, rolling your hair inwards into a chignon
  2. Fix with grips and spray to create a firm solid structure
  3. Backcomb the top then smooth and roll onto your existing chignon to create a unique architectural shape
Our Top Tips:
  1. Try using a tail comb to tease and shape for a quirky style
  2. Fix with Kérastase VIP Volume Powder and finished with Kérastase Laque Noire for anti-humidity and to stop any frizz or flyways
